Okay, Let’s Talk Winter Style for Men

By  |

Okay. Just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean you need to suppress your style gene. Winter is a time to explore a whole new range of rich hues, mix fantastic and contemporary styles; and embrace new winter styles for men that may not work too well in summer.

Let’s start by exploring some smart picks and combinations to try.

Winter Men’s Style. Dark is Beautiful.

Not long from now, runway trailblazers will be sporting dark hues everywhere. For those of us who generally look past the black everything stage, have a go at playing around with dark shades.  Less grey, more blacks and dark hues, like browns.  Blend different colours together – think layering.

Wools and Knit Wear.

On the off chance that you’re in hibernation mode and never feel like leaving your warm home throughout the winter – this is for you. Here’s the part where you can make the frosty weather a bit endurable and look good while you’re at it. Volume and layers are in, they have always been that way for those up North. Large cardigans, voluminous parkas and a wide range of knitwear from space – use them to your heart’s content. Simply keep in-mind there’s a point to what number of layers you can do. The general governance here is – in the event that you can’t make your hands meet, you are off track and it may just be time to drop a couple layers back!

High Boots

Every gentleman needs a sturdy pair of boots for the winter. You could pay around $200 on another pair of Timberlands or you could run with a less expensive option and get a couple of work boots from Wal-Mart and H&M that do the job for around a quarter of that cost. It’s true – no one will know the difference if the rest of your look is in-line with the typical winter style for men. BUT exercise caution here – don’t get used to cheaping out on your shoes. They can make or break a look. You have been warned. 🙂

Class it up.

Look. You don’t need to be privileged to exude a high-class vibe. All you need to do is pair the right pieces of clothing together to create a contemporary winter men’s style look without sacrificing warmth. Think fresh white dress shirt with pants for an informal breakfast or the blending of velvets to include a rich, refined touch to any circumstance topped of with a wool sports coat. Indeed an extra stylish corduroy item brings a component of benefit and advanced style to the modest everyday look. Food for thought!
