Engraved watches are also are a brilliant way to commemorate a particular occasion – like a wedding, graduation or a promotion.

The only real downside to engraved watches for men is that they do go down in value once you have had them engraved. You will find it a challenge to sell even the rarest of watches once it has engraving on it, quite simply, because nobody else really wants that engraving. Whilst it is unlikely you will ever sell the watch on in the future, it probably really is worth considering whether having it engraved is the right thing to do, just on the off chance that you do end up wanting to sell it. This means that you should really be confident in the watch that you are purchasing before you have it engraved. The last thing you want to happen is for you to get it adorned with your initials, only to realise that you do not really like the watch. You could end up being left out of pocket – not a great thing to happen, especially if you have spent a pretty penny on your watch.

Only purchase your engraved watch from a reputable company! This applies more to the actual watch than the engraving but you will be surprised at how many companies there are out there who offer an engraving service but are absolutely abysmal at it. Check reviews before you purchase the engraved watch, just to make sure that you are getting something of a reasonably high quality.
3. Check the returns policy on engraved watches for men. In some cases, you may not actually be able to return the watch if it has been engraved. This is a biggie!
