Designer Men’s Watches: Are they worth it?

By  |

Are you looking for designer men’s watches? Wondering whether it is worth the extra cash when you buy a men’s designer watch? Should you just opt for something which is a touch cheaper? Well, that is what we are going to discuss in today’s article!

Now, many people seem to think that a designer watch is nothing more than a simple watch with a name slapped on it and an inflated price tag. Yes, they are more expensive – there’s no denying that. However, contrary to popular belief, buying a men’s designer watch is NOT always just a marketing rouse. There are often a number of different benefits to acquiring a tasteful designer branded watch.

For starters, the quality of men’s designer watches tends to be far superior to that of normal watches. Remember, designer watch companies have a reputation to uphold. They do not want to be known as a company which sells poor quality watches at high prices. You can be sure that if you are buying designer men’s watches, they are going to last. They go through far too many quality control checks to ensure that no ‘duff’ watches end up in the hands of their customers (in the majority of cases at least).

These watches tend to be better designed too. Each and every part of the watch has been designed to be functional and has also been designed for a purpose. There are far too many ‘cheap’ watches on the market nowadays which seem to be overloaded with features that you are just never going to use. It could be a great idea to get a watch that boasts the features that you ACTUALLY want.

Next point – service. After sales service. With designer watches purchased from reputable stores, you are treated to great service when making your designer watch selection as well as long after your purchase has been made. Warranties, guarantees, etc. are often non-existent in the case of cheap/non-branded/knock-off watches.

Finally, these watches tend to look a little bit better than ‘normal’ watches on the market. It’s hard to put a finger on why – it’s more of an intangible “feel” thing here. Obviously, if you are considering going down the route of designer men’s watches, then you already know that you are after a watch that is going to look decent. The vast majority of ‘cheap’ watches are actually based on the stuff pumped out by designers, but that haven’t quite been nailed well.

As mentioned before though, the prices do tend to be a little bit higher when it comes to men’s designer watches. This is, obviously, for a good reason. They are built with better materials. However, not everybody has huge sums of cash to spend on designer watches for men. And that’s more than okay.

In these cases, do a bit of research on brands that you connect with and the style of watches that are available. Often, brands will have watches that are at different levels of pricing based on the various features on offer. Purchasing one with minimal features will help you get a quality watch without the hefty price tag of similar, more feature-rich watches.

Another option is to purchase from REPUTABLE online stores that offer discounts from time to time. Here is one that we recommend – the review system is great to ensure you don’t end up buying a lemon so be sure to check that out. You can sometime score deals at up to 70% off retail prices here too – so it’s definitely worth a look. 🙂

As mentioned above, if you do decide to go down the route of designer men’s watches, you are going to want to ensure that you buy from a reputable online store. There are a number of different companies out there at the moment who are selling ‘fake’ designer watches (without telling you!). Generally speaking, if something seems too good to be true, it most likely is – so please be cautions with your purchases.
